Before she arrived at the shelter, Taffy had been barely surviving in a joint yard in Danica’s hometown for quite some time, where she was fed, but no one was really taking care of her. Some of the people living in the nearby buildings didn’t mind the cats being there although they were doing nothing to help them. Everything changed when a new resident arrived in the neighborhood – from day one he started threatening to drown the cats and it was clear they were in imminent danger and had to be relocated as soon as possible. Taffy was extremely distrustful when she was brought to the shelter, but she softened a little over time. She had only one good eye; the other was surgically removed years ago (we have no idea when or why) but only her third eyelid was sewn shut while the other eyelids were left open for reasons unknown. Taffy passed away suddenly, out of the blue, in March of 2015. Her age was unknown.
