Salem was born in October 2015. He arrived at CSF in April 2016. It is highly possible that he had a home once, as he mysteriously appeared in front of an apartment building in Belgrade, looking healthy, in excellent shape and loving everyone. He had been fed regularly since, but he was sleeping in the cellar and was forced to learn fast how to evade the roaming dogs and all sorts of thugs that can be found in every large town. He wasn’t hungry and didn’t have to rummage through garbage to find something to eat, but life on the street is always full of danger and vulnerability, so picking him up while he was still healthy and in one piece was in his best interest. He is a slender, lively kitty boy with piercing yellow eyes, finely chiseled features, largish ears and a close lying, shiny, slick and smooth black coat. The vet thinks that he might have some Siamese or Oriental in him. He is extremely people friendly, gets along fine with other cats and enjoys his carefree life.
